πŸ“„ Participant Recruitment Plans & Pricing

All plans exist at a team level. Orgs with multiple teams can have different plans for each of their teams. Researchers in multiple teams will utilize the plan assigned to the team a project is created for.

πŸ’° Purchasing

Beginning May 7, 2023, you can complete the steps below to select your new plan.

As of October 6, 2023, you can also add and/or "top up" your recruitment credits at the same rate as your current plan! These additional credits take on your the credit expiration date (based on your plan) and may be eligible for an extension as needed.

Pay as you go:

  • New teams that sign up through the standard researcher onboarding default to this plan.

  • Researchers who click BUY NOW on this plan from respondent.io/pricing default to this plan.

  • Pay as you go credits are paid for when research with a participant is completed

  • Any team can also purchase Pay as your go credits from the billing section of their team

  • Pay as you go credits purchased from the billing section of a team are set to expire in 60 days from the date of purchase

Basic/Advanced:

  • New researchers who click BUY NOW on this plan from respondent.io/pricing will be able to pay for this plan on sign up

  • Any team can buy this plan via the Upgrade button on the plans page of the billing section of their team

  • Teams with this plan will be granted 60 or 150 credits

  • Credits for this plan will roll over when the plan renews 1 year from the date of the original purchase granting the team 60 or 150 additional credits

  • Teams that opt to cancel their plan will no longer renew after 1 year and the remaining credits will expire 1 year from the date of the original purchase

Enterprise:

  • A researcher needs to CONTACT SALES to discuss plan options

  • Researchers seeking an enterprise plan will submit a PO to Respondent

  • Researchers will inform the primary audience (B2B or B2C)

  • CSMs will negotiate a plan and assign it using the Admin tool:

    • Cost per credit

    • Number of credits

    • Expiration of credits

  • When a team runs low or out of credits they should submit a new PO to repeat the process above

🏦 Using credits

Pay as you go:

  • Teams on a Pay as you go plan will usually not see a concept of credits, instead, they will simply be charged the Pay as you go price per credit they complete.

    • After research with a participant is complete the team will be billed $39 for a B2C participant or $65 for a B2B participant in addition to their incentive.

  • Teams can also purchase credits from their billing page to keep a balance of credits.

    • When a project is published it will hold the necessary credits from the balance.

    • As credits are completed with participants, held credits will be deducted from the team.

Basic/Advanced:

  • When a researcher publishes a new project the required credits will be put on hold for the team.

    • As credits are completed with participants, held credits will be deducted from the team.

  • The team will be able to see a history of credit deductions from the billing section of the team.

Enterprise:

  • Credit usage will mirror Basic and Advanced plans exactly.

πŸ’Έ Incentives

Incentives are not included in any plan, but all plans can use incentives in a similar way:

  • Teams will define incentive requirements for a project when they publish it and will pay incentives when a credit is completed

  • Teams can also purchase incentives from their billing page to keep a balance of incentive funding

    • When a project is created it will hold the necessary incentives from the balance

    • As credits are completed with participants, held incentives are released to participants

B2B to B2C conversion:

  • Credits from any plan can be converted to meet your needs. Your account balance will always show available credits as B2C or B2B credits based on your selected plan. We will convert between B2C and B2B credits during project setup at a conversion rate of 5 B2C credits = 3 B2B credits. For example, if you purchase a B2B plan and want to conduct research with 10 B2C participants, that will use 6 B2B credits.
