📄 Participant Recruitment Plans & Pricing

All plans are set at the team level. Organizations with multiple teams can assign different plans to each team. Researchers will use the plan assigned to the team under which a project is created.

The best resource for Respondent pricing information is our dedicated page, which can be found here!

Pay-as-you-go (PAYG):

  • Ideal for teams seeking flexibility without upfront commitments.

  • Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) credits are paid for when research with a participant is completed

  • Any team can also purchase Pay-as-you-go credits from the billing section of their team

  • Pay-as-you-go credits purchased from the billing section of a team are set to expire in 60 days from the date of purchase

  • PAYG credits and incentives can only be purchased via credit card within the platform (we do not offer SOW, invoicing, or terms account purchasing for PAYG)

Credit Bundle & Annual Plans:

  • Designed for teams planning multiple sessions, offering savings through upfront payments.

  • New researchers who opts on this plan can pay for it during sign-up.

  • Teams on this plan receive a bundle of recruiting credits based on plan selection.

  • Credits roll over upon renewal, which occurs one year after the original purchase, adding new credits to the team existing balances.

  • Teams that cancel their plan will not renew after one year, and any remaining credits will expire one year from the original purchase date.

Large Volume & Custom Plans:

  • Researchers must contact our Sales Team to discuss plan options.

  • Large volume and custom plans require upfront payment, but are eligible for PO, SOW, Invoicing, etc. payment options.

  • Customer Success Managers (CSMs) will communicate and assign a unique plan to your needs, using our intuitive admin tools, working to customize:

    • Cost per credit

    • Number of credits

    • Expiration of credits

    • Payment options/Payment type options

    • Other key benefits and enhancements

  • When a team runs low or runs out of credits or incentives balance, they should submit a new purchase order (PO) to our Billing & Invoicing team to "top up" and reload credits and/or incentives. The Billing & Invoicing team can be reached directly at invoices@respondent.io and the following information will help them prioritize your request:

    • Organization ID & Team ID (this can be found in the URL address bar when logged into the platform and will appear like this: "organizations/12f122c11abab2001b6fafc6" and "teams/2f120a4b12df6f0012c34e56"

    • Accounts Payable Email Address (if different from yours)

    • Physical Mailing Address for the business

🏦 Purchasing & Managing credits

Credits are used to pay for research sessions on Respondent. Each session with a participant requires a set number of credits, depending on whether the research targets a B2B or B2C audience.

In this section, you'll learn how credits are reserved, deducted, and managed within your team's billing section.

Pay as you go:

  • Teams on a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) plan typically won’t see credits; instead, they are charged per completed session.

    • After a research session is completed, teams are billed the recruiting cost plus the participant’s incentive.

  • Teams can also purchase credits from the billing page to keep a balance of credits.

    • When a project is published, the required credits are reserved from the team’s balance.

    • As sessions are completed, the reserved credits are deducted accordingly.

Credit Bundle:

  • When a researcher publishes a project, the required credits are reserved for the team.

    • As sessions are completed, the reserved credits are deducted.

  • Teams can view their credit deduction history in the billing section.

Large volume:

  • Teams should contact Respondent to discuss custom pricing & plans.

  • Plans are tailored based on audience (B2B or B2C), number of credits, and credit expiration terms.

💸 How do incentives work?

Incentives are not included in any plan. Teams define incentive amounts when publishing a project and are responsible for disbursing them upon session completion. Teams can also maintain an incentive balance in their billing section to streamline this process.
