How do I Create My Study/Task on Lookback?

Steps to Creating your Lookback Project

1. Name your Project

2. Create your Round

  • Rounds represent the type of Project you select in Lookback.

    • For example, you want to conduct a Round of Unmoderated testing about a new app that tracks the types of snack foods people enjoy.

Unmoderated - Self-Test and Tasks: when you want participants to test your new App, website, or prototype. One of the benefits of using Lookback is that it allows participants to start the session on their own time.

You'll receive a notification each time a participant begins their test or tasks in Lookback.

  • Self-test:

Give participants a short list of tasks to perform, respond and interact with.

    • Mobile and Desktop testing

  • Tasks:

Design a more detailed-oriented session with step-by-step instructions. This ensures your participants have completed each task before proceeding to the next task.

    • Set auto-open URLs for each task or across several tasks

    • Desktop testing only

3. Add the Details to your Round

Whether you choose a Self-Test or a Task project, you will need to enter the important details so each participant has a clear understanding of the project's expectations.

4. Sharing your Unique Lookback Study URL with your Participants

If you refresh 🔃 the Lookback project URL the original link will no longer work. Participants receive an error message:

5. Connect Your Lookback Study to Respondent

Once you create your Lookback project, return to Respondent with your unique Lookback URL and paste it into the screener you created in Respondent in the Research Methodology section.

When you publish your study on the Respondent platform the Lookback link is automatically embedded in the invitation we send to your participants and cannot be edited.
