How to Add Targeting Attributes to a Study
1. Go to your Researcher dashboard and create a new study, or open an existing draft.
2. Select your project type. Targeting attributes are available for both B2C and B2B projects.
3. Navigate to the Targeting section in the study setup flow.
4. Expand a category and select the values you want to target. Repeat for any other relevant categories.
5. Click Save to store your selections.
Tip: You don’t need to fill out every category — only select what’s relevant to your study. The more targeting criteria you add, the smaller your eligible participant pool may become.
Best Practices
Only select the attributes you truly need. Broad targeting generally leads to faster recruitment. If you commonly screen for software or tool usage, start with Products & Services.
Favour targeting an attribute in your search rather than asking it in your screen questions. Shorter screeners lead to a better participant experience.
For role-based studies, Professional Info is a good starting point.
After saving, reopen the study to verify your targeting is intact before publishing.
