Getting paid on Respondent (timeline, currencies & how to redeem)

After you attend/complete a study and the researcher confirms attendance, your incentive is issued on-platform and delivered via Tremendous.

At a glance

  • When you’re paid: After the researcher confirms you attended/completed.

  • How you’re paid: Email from Tremendous → choose a payout option → redeem.

  • Typical timing: 7–10 business days from confirmation (not the study date).


Where to see your payment status

  • Go to your dashboard → Your Projects.

  • Statuses you’ll see: Payment Sent (issued via Tremendous) → Paid (redeemed).

How to redeem your incentive

  1. When your status shows 'PAID', look for an email from Tremendous at your account email address.

  2. Open the email and select a payout option shown for your region (e.g., card, bank/wallet, where available, or gift cards).

  3. Follow the redemption instructions by Tremendous.

Tip: Can’t find the email? Wait up to 10 business days after getting PAID, then check spam/junk and search for “Tremendous”.

When do I get paid? (timeline)

  • Most payments are received within 7–10 business days after the researcher confirms attendance.

  • Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.

  • If the study ended near a holiday/weekend, allow a little extra time.


Currencies & payout options

  • Are payments in USD?

    • Most incentives are listed and paid in USD unless stated otherwise on the project.

  • What can I redeem it for?

    • Tremendous shows available payout options by country/region at the time you redeem. Some options may involve currency conversion.

    • If you need a specific method/currency, check the Tremendous email before redeeming.

Fees (reminder)

Participant incentives are paid minus a fulfillment fee of 5% (minimum $1).

Examples: $60 → $57, $10 → $9.

    • From the Tremendous email: open → pick a payout option → redeem.

Troubleshooting

  • No Tremendous email: Wait 2 business days after Payment Sent, check spam/junk, then search for “Tremendous”.

  • Late payment: If it has been more than 10 business days since attendance was confirmed, please message the researcher in the project thread. If you're unresponsive, you can contact Support with the project link.
