We suggest integrating your Zoom account so you don't miss out on those important scheduled meetings with your participants. Navigate over to your Respondent account settings by clicking on the profile logo dropdown in the upper right-hand corner of your dashboard.
First, from Account Settings, selected the "Zoom" option on the left menu bar:
Next, choose the "Connect Zoom Account" option in blue:
You will then be redirected to the Zoom login page:
If you need to reference a Meeting ID, log in to your Zoom account > Meetings > Previous tab. Your Zoom meetings are stored chronologically by date.
Zoom App Usage Details & Specifics:
The primary feature of the Zoom integration is to automatically generate unique Zoom meeting links for your scheduled research sessions.
Use Case: Scheduling a Moderated Study
Prerequisite: You must have your Zoom account connected to your Respondent account.
When you invite a participant to a moderated research session (e.g., a one-on-one interview or focus group) and schedule a time, Respondent will automatically create a new Zoom meeting for that session.
The unique Zoom meeting link will be included in the calendar invitation and any confirmation emails sent to both you and the participant.
If a session is rescheduled, the Zoom meeting details will be updated accordingly.
If a session is canceled, the corresponding Zoom meeting will be deleted.
Removing the Zoom app and/or Zoom integration from your Respondent researcher account:
You can remove the Respondent app from your Zoom account at any time.
Log in to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
Click Manage >> Added Apps or search for the "Respondent" app.
Click Remove.
In-platform method:
Where you connect Zoom in Account Settings >> Zoom tab, you will be able to disconnect the Zoom integration.
Click Account Settings in the top right drop down.
Click the Zoom tab on the left.
You should see a “Disconnect Zoom Account” button. Click there!
Implications of Zoom integration removal:
When you remove the app, Respondent will no longer be able to create, update, or delete Zoom meetings on your behalf.
Any existing meetings that were scheduled through the integration will remain in your Zoom account, but they will no longer be managed by Respondent. If you cancel or reschedule these sessions within Respondent, the Zoom meeting will not be automatically updated or deleted. You will need to manage them manually in Zoom.
How User Data is Handled After Removal:
Upon receiving a notification from Zoom that you have removed the app, we will delete your Zoom access and refresh tokens from our system.
Please know that our Support Team is here to help! Should you have additional questions or feedback, please use the in-app chat functionality (small, blue chat "bubble" on the bottom right hand corner of your screen when logged into the platform) and we would be happy to dive in and take a look!
