Respondent uses your work email for verification purposes only to confirm your employment at your company. A verified work email unlocks access to B2B (Industry Professional) studies targeted at participants in specific industries with specific skills.
Without a verified work email, you can still participate in B2C (General Population) studies using just your personal email and phone number.
Respondent never provides your verified work email to any Researcher without your consent. Read more about Respondent's Data Security and Privacy Policy.
How to Verify Your Work Email
Go to Settings β Professional background.
Enter your work email address in the Work email field.
Click the Verify work email button.
Check your work inbox for a verification email from Respondent. Click the button in the email to confirm.

Note: We'll send a one-time email asking you to click a button to confirm you received it. You'll be required to re-verify your work email every 90 days. Other than these verification emails, we will not use your work email for marketing, alerts, or any other communication.
What Counts as a Work Email?
Your work email must have a unique business domain, one that matches your company's website.
Accepted: yourname@companyabc123.com (matches company website)
Not accepted: Generic/consumer domains like @gmail, @yahoo, @hotmail, @aol, @icloud, @protonmail, or similar.
If you're a small business owner and your company uses a custom domain (e.g., yourname@mybusiness.com), that works as long as it's not a standard consumer email provider.
Troubleshooting
I didn't receive the verification email.
Check your spam, junk, and trash folders.
Make sure your work inbox isn't blocking emails from noreply@respondent.io.
Some companies block outside emails. Check with your IT team if needed.
The verification link didn't work.
Try using Google Chrome (our most optimized browser).
Make sure pop-ups are allowed and clear your browser cache.
If the button in the email doesn't work, copy the verification URL from the email, log in to Respondent, and then paste it into your browser.
I clicked "Verify work email" multiple times.
Each click generates a new verification link and cancels the previous one. Use only the most recent email you received.
I don't have a work email.
No problem, you can still participate in all B2C (General Population) studies. You can add and verify a work email at any time to unlock B2B studies.
