Using the Respondent platform as a Participant means you agree to the following code of conduct (shown below).

Important Note: Acceptance of payments from Researchers outside of the Respondent platform is strictly prohibited.

When you sign up with a new Respondent account you agree:

  1. To provide truthful account information upon sign up (including Name, Age, Employment Details, Location, Education, Demographic Information, and the like).

  2. To provide truthful screener and project responses, while also avoiding "duplicating" screeners and altering answers to appeal to specific projects.

  3. To apply only to projects that match your background, skills, and employment information you provided during the signup process.

  4. To always use proper and respectful language when communicating with Researchers or Respondent staff. Profanity, disrespectful communication and/or tone (or implied tone), rude or "short" responses, personal attacks and/or any similar behavior or communication styles will not be tolerated.

  5. Ensure you have the proper technology for participation (webcam, phone calls, Wi-Fi/stable network connections, etc.).

  6. Never contact Researchers outside of the messaging tool within Respondent.

  7. You will not sign up for more than one (1) Respondent account.


If you are found to be in violation of any of the above, Respondent retains the right to remove your account from the platform.

​Important Note: Acceptance of payments from Researchers outside of the Respondent platform is strictly prohibited. Payments made from Researchers should always be completed in platform and paid via PayPal.
