Looking your best to a Researcher and how you represent yourself on the Respondent platform means telling the truth at every step of the research project. From the information you place in your profile, taking the survey screeners, and being interviewed by the researcher, honesty is the best policy on the Respondent platform.

  • Always provide truthful account information upon signing up and when updating your profile.

  • Be forthright when answering every screener question.

  • Only apply to projects that match your background, skills, and employment history. Never Google answers to the screener questions!

  • If you agree to a virtual meeting meet with a Researcher make sure the technology (webcam, phone calls, wifi) you say you use is up-to-date/compatible.

Providing false or misleading information is against our terms of use:

Specifically, under "Eligibility" in our terms, we state, "You represent that any information you submit to us when using the Services is accurate, truthful, and current." This applies to both researchers and research participants.

Research participants found to provide false or otherwise misleading responses to screener surveys will be removed from the platform immediately and further participation in any current project will terminate.

You may not be paid your incentive or only receive partial payment for providing misleading information. The incentive payment is solely at the discretion of the researcher with the support of the Respondent team.
