The Preferences serve two functions when publishing a new recruitment brief:

  1. They match with the preferences selected by existing members of the real time Respondent marketplace
  2. They connect with the publishing networks and determine where your research invitations will appear online

If none of the preferences are an obvious match for your target audience, then selecting preferences that are similar is good enough.

For instance, if you are recruiting parents, then selecting categories under 'household' and 'lifestyle' might be a good fit. Similarly, if you are recruiting construction professionals, then they might have an interest in 'motor sports' and be present on 'social media sites', so those selections could make sense.

As a final note, the Respondent preferences are constantly being updated an honed - so if there is absolutely nothing that fits, please get in touch to let us know what you expect should be there.
