Respondent's AI powered setup drafts your entire project from a short description, then puts you in control to refine it. You can edit everything yourself, lean on the AI chat to do the work for you, or move between the two as you go.
Start your Project
Open a new Project. From Projects, begin a new project.
Choose the AI Interviewer. On the How do you want to run this study screen, select Respondent AI Interviewer to start.
Describe what you want to learn. On the Tell us about your project screen, write a brief in plain language. For example: a 30 minute AI moderated session with software engineers about how they use coding tools.
Review the draft. The AI builds the Project on the canvas: the title, the Participant facing description under What participants see, the goals, and the target audience.
Note: A precise brief produces a stronger draft. Name the audience, the topic, and the decision the research should inform.
Build it your way
From here, shape the project however you prefer:
Edit directly. Click into any part of the canvas and change it yourself, just like building a study by hand.
Ask the AI. Use the chat on the side to handle a specific piece for you. Type a request, or use the quick actions Set up targeting, Draft screener questions, and Fill in the rest for me. The AI updates the canvas as you go.
You can switch between the two at any point. Write the questions yourself and let the AI set your targeting, or the other way around, whatever is faster for you.
Finish and launch
The Progress panel on the right tracks what is left to complete: targeting criteria, Screener questions, the Project type, and the welcome, interview, and closing messages. Open the Project type panel to set the session duration, and turn on a group session if you want several Participants at once. When everything is complete, select Proceed to Launch.
Prefer to build without the AI? You can switch to the classic editor at any time.
